As the manager of the rock climbing facility, Laura has been with Sunset Athletic Club since the opening of the climbing facility in November of 2004. She has a graduate degree in Sports and Fitness Management and a career background in fitness. Laura's passion for climbing began in graduate school and she redirected her career to follow it.
Amy:
Amy got introduced to climbing when she worked as a ropes course leader in Maryland and instantly found her calling. She began to follow climbing, living and travelling where the rock was near.
Nolan:
Nolan has a degree in outdoor education from Chico State in California. In addition to working at Sunset Athletic Club, he guides outdoor climbing trips and has climbed around the country and around the world.
Lisa:
Lisa began climbing more than 10 years ago and has climbed both indoors and out throughout the country, in the various places she has lived and travelled. Also a yoga instructor and a photorapher, Lisa approaches climbing from the perspectives of both athlete and artist.
Reuben:
Reuben has been climbing for more than 10 years and he is one of the original staff members at the climbing wall at Sunset Athletic Club. He is currently working on his education to become a helicopter pilot and fills in here and there as a sub.
Keith:
With nearly 30 years of climbing experience, Keith has been climbing longer than many of the staff have been alive. As a retired high school teacher and coach, as well as an outdoor adventure guide, he has a wealth of knowledge to share.
Kenzie:
As a junior staff member, Kenzie works alongside her co-workers during youth programs and climbing facility rentals. She is a member of the climbing competition training program at Sunset Atheltic Club and a high school student.
David:
David, another junior staff member, also climbs with the competition training program and works alongside his co-workers during youth programs and rentals. Also a high school student, David likes to cllimb outdoors with his dad when not in school or at the gym.

Job Description: Rock Climbing Wall Staff
Climbing staff work with both adults and kids during open climb times, climbing camps, birthday parties and other events. Job includes safety checks on the climbing wall, monitoring climbers for safety, belaying for climbers, route setting, and other climbing wall related tasks as they come up. Climbing staff work alone at times and with other staff at times.
Job Requirements: Rock Climbing Wall Staff
Staff must be at least 18 years of age to work alone; highly responsible and reliable; comfortable with the responsibility of climbers and their safety; experienced at both indoor and outdoor climbing; CPR and First Aid certified.
